1. Measure the circumference of the head: just above the ears, around the fullest part at the back of the head and just above the eyebrows.
2. Take the measurement and refer to the sizing chart above. (Note: this is a guide only)
3. When placing the hat on the head, the hat needs to be rolled from front to back and sit just above the eyebrows.
4. There should be a feeling of suction when the hat is put onto the head. When the hat is lifted from the head the skin should move just above the eyebrows.
5. There should be a snug, even pressure around the head, making sure there is no undue pressure at the temples in order to prevent a headache.
6. The padding will compress down after the hat has been worn. A sung fit allows for this to happen, whilst still offering the level of protection required.
7. You should be able to insert an index finger tip all around the inside of the hat. This allows you to check there aren't any big gaps and that the hat has an even fit all around the head.
8. Finally adjust the harness, starting with the chin strap. Ideally leaving an index finger's distance between the harness and the chin. Make sure it is comfortable and not too lose so that it can be pulled over the chin.
9. The back strap should be adjusted so it lies flat against the back of the head.
