Our Fun Halloween Dressage show took place on Saturday 2nd November, and it was the last of our scheduled events for this year. With the unexpected high winds and heavy driving rain, it was lovely to see so many competitors and supporters arrive in such dreadful conditions. Although getting completely soaked, a lot of our competitors embraced the chance to dress up in their Halloween costumes, and there were prizes for the best costume in each class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our first class of the day was Intro B and it was India Birch and her horse, I J Khaleesi, who were first down the centre line. This combination did enough to gain 6th<\/sup> place and having painted a skeleton on to her horse as part of their costume, they became our first fancy dress winners of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Intro B<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st<\/sup> Kiera George and Eric 67.39% (67)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fancy Dress Winner: India Birch and I J Khaleesi<\/p>\n\n\n\n The rain was now torrential, and so it was decided that as soon as the riders were ready, they would head into the arena to do their tests, so this meant that the Prelim and Novice classes ran together. Once again there were some great efforts on the fancy dress section for both classes, and the riders were all still smiling. Linda Hughes and her young horse, Tinraher Clover, got the Prelim section of the class underway and dressed as a mad surgeon, they became our second fancy dress winners of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prelim 14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st<\/sup> Hayley May and Nemo 69.23% (69)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fancy Dress Winner: Linda Hughes and Tinraher Clover<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Novice section of the class was won by Katie Palmer and the lovely Jackson, but it was Debbie Garland and the lovely Khaz that once again pulled out all the stops to win the Novice fancy dress prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Novice 24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st<\/sup> Katie Palmer and Jackson 63.70% (38)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fancy Dress Winner: Debbie Garland and Khaz<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thank you to everyone that has competed and supported the shows throughout the season.
