New improved, soft magnetic stable chaps designed to help relieve stiffness, reduce filling and promote faster healing in horse's legs.
Equilibrium Therapy® Magnetic Chaps can be worn in the stable to help horses and ponies that suffer from arthritis or are recovering from injury by increasing blood flow, reduce filling and promote faster healing in horses legs.
They are also ideal for horses with tendon problems, splints, navicular, bone chips and general knocks, bumps and scars.
Hardwearing, lightweight and breathable, each chap has two VITAflex® magnets contained within pillow pouches which adhere to the lining of the chaps, allowing positioning of the magnets exactly where required.
The Magnetic Chaps can be used overnight or during the day in the stable (not designed for turnout).
The Equilibrium Therapy® range uses clinical grade VITAflex® magnets, which present both positive and negative poles to the body and thereby encourage the constant repelling or attracting the blood cells, making them highly effective at keeping cells in an active regenerating state.
In addition, the VITAflex® magnets have a heat insulating structure in the form of extremely thin gold or platinum coloured aluminium reflectors. This results in a slight local warming where the magnet touches the skin and dilation of the blood vessels. This improves circulation, which accelerates the influx of nutrients and the removal of toxins.
VITAflex® magnets have strong, circular and permanent magnetic fields of alternating pole sequences which can penetrate deeply into the body tissue.
When applied to a troubled area, minute electrical voltages are created. The electrically conductive blood moves within the blood vessels under alternating magnetic fields, thereby building up voltage and bringing the cells to an excited state.
This helps improve cell metabolism encouraging cells to regenerate much quicker.
VITAflex® magnets are flat & flexible and feel comfortable against the skin.
Magnetic Therapy has been proven to have both positive effects in humans and animals in treating scar tissue, inflammation, reducing swelling, stiffness, muscle cramps and arthritis.
How does magnetic therapy work?
A magnet has two poles, North and South. Opposite poles attract and conversely like poles repel. When a magnet is placed on the body, the magnetic properties in the body's cells will either attract those that are opposite or repel those that are alike. In this way the activity of the cells is increased which in turn increases the rate at which the cells regenerate and repair.
