British Dressage Results – Saturday 12th November 2022

Saturday 12th November 2022

The rain finally relented in time for one of our final British Dressage events of the year. With a tremendous amount of entries coming forward, we had a lot of centre lines to get through, with tests ranging from Prelim through to Inter 1, including Freestyles.

Some riders are still aiming to gain those all-important final qualifying points for the Winter Area Festivals and Winter Regional shows.

Both competition arenas were in full swing, nice and early with the day starting off with the Preliminary tests. Abi Haime and Coednewydd Kansas Express, delivered our first, over 70% score of the day, in the Prelim 17A test. Towards the end of the class, it was Ella Fleet and her horse Ruby Queen of Diamonds, who with a tremendous score of 72.07%, went on to win to be our first overall winner of the day.

The Prelim 19 class, was now in full flow and as we approached the break, it was Abi Haime, who had taken a solid lead. Towards the end of the class, it was the turn of Claire Burns and her horse Ballylennon Henry. On completion of their test, they not only finished on the same score as Abi, but also the same collective, so they shared the winning spot.

Beth Ault had two rides in both of the Novice tests. Splash Moran, was first up and delivered two very good tests, to finish second in their section, in both tests. Next was the turn of Toberpatrick Ben, who finished on scores of 73.33% and 72.22% respectively. It was Beth who took the overall winning places in both classes.

The afternoon part of the day got underway with Elementary 45 and 53. Entries for the afternoon classes were slightly quieter than the morning classes, but we were still going to be treated to some great competitive riding.

Once again, it was lovely to see our regular competitors and to meet many new ones.

Congratulations to all of our deserving winners and thank you to everyone that has supported the show.

We have just two remaining British Dressage shows left for this season. The first is Wednesday 30th November and we will be running from Prelim though to Advanced Medium and will also be running Freestyle classes too.
