WHO ARE FABULOUS FINN & DAVE WARDELL?
Stars of Britain’s Got Talent, Police Dog Finn (or Fabulous Finn) and Police Handler Dave Wardell have an amazing story to tell. Known as “The brave Police Dog who came back from the brink”, Finn nearly lost his life whilst protecting Dave in the line of duty.
On 5th October 2016, he was viciously stabbed with a 10 inch hunting knife while detaining a robbery suspect. Although Finn sustained life threatening injuries from the first attack, he bravely dived in front of a second, aimed directly for Dave, his handler and dad. Finn saved his dad’s life.
He survived…just.

Finn & Dave will be bringing signed copies of their top selling book with them which will be available for purchase on the day. These will be limited so be quick!
WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING ON THE DAY?
- ‘Have a go’ Training, Advice & Demos with the team from K9 Dog Training
Leanne and her team will be on hand to offer help and advice on all aspects of training as well as encouraging you and your dog to get involved with some scent work and trick training. Find out more about the team on their Facebook page K9 Dog Training.
- Talk from Finn’s Dad, PC Dave Wardell @ 2.30pm
Dave will be sharing some of his experiences as well as his amazing story so far. He will be available for questions and of course he will have Finn with him! Please be aware that although Finn loves meeting new people he is not comfortable around other dogs.

There will be prizes galore, including an Ariat Team Dog Coat, as well as some fantastic offers on many of our products all day. Let your dog enjoy taking part in the lucky dip or try your luck in the raffle.
- Support The Thin Blue Paw Foundation
Merchandise in support of The Thin Blue Paw Foundation will be available all day with proceeds from our Lucky Dip, Raffle and ‘Guess how many treats’ game also being donated to the charity. Money raised provides much needed financial support to ex-service dogs to ensure they have a long and happy retirement.

Capture your dog enjoying themselves at our Open Day with a snap from pet photographer iWill Photo. He will be on site with his mobile studio between 10am – 4pm taking beautiful shots of your canine friends. Ring the Headcorn store on 01622 890446 to book your FREE 15 minute slot. Experts will be at hand to answer all your tricky food related questions and provide tailored diet plans. There might even be some free samples!
