2023 has seen another successful year of events here at Speedgate. There have been so many wonderful times to reflect on.
We once again had the honour of hosting both the British Dressage Winter and Summer Area Festivals. Both events, saw a wonderful number of combinations over the duration of the competitions, gain those all-important National tickets.
All our regular unaffiliated competitions commenced in March and again it was amazing to see familiar and new combinations coming forward to compete with us.
With our Show Jumping events we pride ourselves on being an encouraging show, to help build the confidence of our riders. Whether it is their first competition or that maybe they have lost their way a bit, we take the time to make sure that each combination comes away with a positive experience.
Our Unaffiliated Dressage events once again have been well received. This year, we re-introduced the Combined Training, and themed Dressage events, which proved to be popular with our competitors.
Throughout the year, it is always wonderful when you see just how hard some of our riders have been working to improve those dressage scores or to ride their Show Jumping course with more confidence.
We had a selection of riders that had worked tremendously hard to achieve their goals this year, and those riders were all awarded with our “Speedgate Achiever Award” rosettes. Once again, congratulations to you all and keep up the hard work.
The final event of the year has now been completed, and we will now take a very short break before we commence the events of 2024 in mid-January.
So, as the year draws to a close, we wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone that has competed with us. We feel very lucky to have so many of you support all the events throughout the year and we very much look forward to hopefully seeing you all again next year.
Finally, we would like to take the chance to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
