Wednesday 26th May saw another of our British Dressage weekday shows get underway. The weather was very temperamental throughout the day, but luckily it did stay dry for us.
The day started off with the Preliminary 15 test, and it was Anna Marie Jeffrey and her lovely horse Quidditch de Louzes, who were not only the first combination to head down the centre line, but this was also the first time that they were competing at an affiliated competition.
Both of our Sponsored riders, Mia Kirby and Ellie Jenkins won their individual sections in this class. But it was Mia Kirby, who piloted the lovely Castlewoods Taloulah to complete a beautiful test, in which to take the overall victory for the first class of the day.
Preliminary 17A followed and it was our second combination, Ashleigh Hill and the very attractive Lansons Surprise, who delivered a wonderful test. With only 0.34% difference between the top two places in the overall section, it was Ashleigh who became our second overall winner of the day.
Claire Lyne and her handsome cob, Silverspring Louis were stepping up to giving their first Novice test a go. This combination did a wonderful test, and their score was enough for them to not only win their section, but to also win the overall class.
Clare Ashley was on form with the attractive coloured horse Arles Lalique, in both the Novice 39 and Elementary 45 classes. With brilliant scores in both tests, they won both of their sections and took both overall victories.
Elementary 57 was headed up with the combination of Mariana Broucher and Marchants Alice. It was this combinations’ first time back in the competition arena together for this year and so were very pleased to win both their section and overall placing.
Molly Baseley rode two lovely Medium tests on the gorgeous La Toya 58, to finish with very respectable scores.
Nicky Harrison had two rides in the Advanced Medium classes, and took the top spot in both classes.
