Sunday 2nd June was our fourth Unaffiliated Dressage event of the season, and at long last the sun was shining! The day got underway with the Prelim 17A class, and it was Helen Chatfield Rigby who was first down the centre line to produce a lovely test that gave them a score of 64.3%. Soon it was the turn of Lucy George and the lovely Silver Storm. Once again, this partnership produced a wonderful test to score 67.6%, so putting them in to the top spot, but there were still a few more horses to go. Jess Foreman followed not long after and with a score of 68.4%, took over the lead. It was towards the end of the class that Sarah Lowe and her lovely horse Dark De St Priest produced a wonderful and accurate test to gain a score of 70.0%. This score was going to be enough to take the first victory of the day.

The next class was Prelim 19, and was another very well subscribed class. Once again, the scores were very close with only 0.2% between first and second place, but it was Sarah Lowe who gained her second victory of the day.

Unfortunately, with a couple of riders withdrawing, the afternoon classes were not as well attended, which was a real shame. It was Sue Williams and her lovely horse Hector who won the Novice class, and Sophie Byfield took the final victory of the day in the PYO class with her very attractive horse Hatchford Linnet.
