Speedgate’s Unaffiliated Dressage Results

Saturday 19th September 2020

Saturday 19th September once again saw good entries for our third unaffiliated dressage show of the season. The first test of the day was Prelim 15 and our riders started to head down that centre line. The first of our eventual placed riders was Rebecca Johnston and the very smart, Dubai. This combination finished their tests on a score of 65.60% and this was going to be enough to earn themselves sixth place. Rubi Scriven and her horse, Brian, were our first combination of the day to break the 70% barrier. Delivering a lovely test, this duo finished on a score of 73.60% and second place.

As the class progressed, it soon became the turn of Mia Kirby and her lovely horse, Castlewoods Taloulah. This partnership finished their very fluent test to finish on a score of 72.20% which would earn them third place. Towards the end of this strong class, was the turn of Tina Hillman-Green and her horse, Blakeney Night (Nancy 14). Not only did this pair produce a wonderful test, they also gained an incredible score of 75.80%, which made them our first winners of the day.

Our third combination of the class was Mia Kirby and her horse Castlewoods Taloulah. This pair have been working so hard together, and hard work certainly does pay off. They delivered an incredible test to gain a score of 72.93%. Another pair to break the 70% barrier in the Prelim 17A class was Tina Hillman-Green and Blakeney Night (Nancy 14), gaining a score of 70.52%. This then meant that Mia and Castlewoods Taloulah’s score had earnt them a very deserved win.

With two combinations finishing on the same score, it was their collective score that was going to decide the placings. There was just half a mark between them, so second place went to Hannah Knight and her lovely horse, Indy Pepper. Third place was taken by Louise Prideaux and the handsome Rooney. Sailing into the winners spot was Rebecca Aston and her ride Celton Ajax with a great score of 70.00%
