A Great Day for Unaffiliated Dressage & Team Quest
What a brilliant day we had for Unaffiliated Dressage and Team Quest — full of great riding, supportive teams and plenty of proud moments.
Team Quest
We kicked off the day with Team Quest and it was great to welcome Team Braeside Buckaroos, who put in a strong performance to achieve an impressive team total of 64.05%.
It’s always lovely to see young rider teams coming together, and this group was no exception — especially with a new addition joining them, Freja Noble, who slotted in brilliantly.
A special mention also goes to the brilliant Lauren Preston, who achieved a fantastic individual score of 68.20% on the day. A great result and thoroughly deserved.
Unaffiliated Dressage
Next up was our Unaffiliated Dressage — and just a reminder that these results count as:
- Speedgate Championship Series Qualifiers (1st to 4th place)
- Sunshine Tour Qualifiers (1st to 3rd place)
What made the day extra special for me personally were the tears (literally!) of joy from more than one competitor who were so proud of their horse’s performance. Those moments are what it’s all about. There were some really lovely combinations out there, and it’s clear just how much hard work, dedication and commitment goes on behind the scenes.
You should all be incredibly proud.

A big shoutout as well to our 5th place rider, Sarah Caiger on Bailey. Sarah has known Bailey for less than a year and not only is he a fabulous RDA riding school horse, but he’s learning the ropes and stepping up to become a bit of a dressage diva too!
