Sunday 16th November
What a brilliant day we had at our Quest and Unaffiliated Dressage Show on the 16th of November! From displays of determination to standout performances from both new and familiar faces, it was a competition full of talent and true horsemanship.
A Tough Start Turned Triumphant
Our first call of the day brought a moment that reminded us all just how brave and resilient riders can be. After an unlucky fall, Chloe Osborne showed incredible grit. She got up, dusted herself off, climbed back into the saddle—and then went on to steal the show in the next class, earning the highest score for her team with a brilliant 67.73%. A huge well done, Chloe. That’s the spirit of the sport!
Deepdene Diamonds Shine Again
Our Team Quest riders, the Deepdene Diamonds, continued their fantastic season with yet another strong appearance. All riders come from the same yard and range from just 12 to 18 years old. It’s a joy to see such young talent stepping up, supporting each other, and performing so well. The energy and enthusiasm were a delight to see.
Impressive Debuts
We were delighted to welcome a couple of first-time combinations to the dressage arena:
- Jackie Mitchell and Tara, a young partnership fresh to the competitive scene, rode beautifully to score an impressive 65.91% at their very first show together.
- Lois Francis with GFS Phoenix also completed their first-ever dressage test—what a milestone! Huge congratulations to you both.
Double Wins for Daniel Davies
A standout performance came from Daniel Davies on Rock Star, who certainly lived up to the horse’s name. The pair had an exceptional day, taking 1st place in both Prelim 4 and Prelim 6 with scores of 68.75% and 70.00%. A superb achievement—well done, Daniel!
Our fantastic judge, Emily Frohlich, added: “Some super combinations today. Those who have done particularly well are accurate with a focus on getting the basics right. There are lots of marks available for accurate and harmonious riding.”
A Wonderful Turnout
Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported riders, or simply came along to enjoy the atmosphere. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and so many smiles throughout the day.
