Sunday 22nd September 2019
We had a phenomenal turnout for our Show Jumping on Sunday 22nd September, and it was great to see so many of you regular, and once again new faces coming forward to compete.
It was Ruby Webber and Marcus that got our Intro class off to a great start with a double clear in a great time of 38.67 seconds. This was enough to keep this combination holding on to the lead for a lot of the class, but then was the turn of Chloe-Louise Money and the ever consistent Star. This combination have really come on in leaps and bounds this season, and today was no exception as they stormed home with a double clear in a time of 29.77, so taking the first victory of the day.
Intro Class
1st Chloe Louise Money and Star
2nd Casey Day and Minty
3rd Annabel Gough and Jaspers Diamond
4th Ruby Webber and Marcus
5th Sarah Taylor and First
6th Alisha Barnes and Ascocnyta Charm
We moved straight on to the Novice class, and it was Archie Sheppard and his lovely horse Baileys Nice with Ice who produced the first double clear of the class. The double clears just kept coming throughout, with the leadership changing all the time. It was our final combination of the class, Sophie Edwards and Lickeen Rebel, who stormed home for a double clear in a super quick time of 28.71 seconds to take the Novice victory.
Novice Class
1st Sophie Edwards and Lickeen Rebel
2nd Annabel Gough and Jaspers Diamond
3rd Samara Lynn and Gemini’s Promise
4th Vicky Bentley and Rafflestone
5th Nicola Swinden and Yogi
6th Viv Terry and Sandholer Ermin
With the rain still holding off, we carried straight on with the Intermediate class, which was another well entered class. With the double clears being consistently produced, it soon started to prove that to gain a placing you had to jump a quick but accurate double clear. With only 0.34 seconds between first and second place, it was very close. The third victory of the day went to Sarah Edmonds and the very fast Paddy.
Intermediate Class
1st Sarah Edmonds and Paddy
2nd Sophie Edwards and Laddie
3rd Samara Lynn and Gemini’s Promise
4th Gemma Butcher and Paddy
5th Chanice Wilson and Star
6th Emma and Galaxy
Although the two Open classes were well entered, they sadly did not see as many double clears as the previous classes. The combination of Emilia Gardener and Dylan D produced our only double clear in the Small Open to take the victory.
Small Open Class
1st Emilia Gardener and Dylan D
2nd Sarah Edmonds and Paddy
3rd Courtney and Jasmine
Once again it was Emilia Gardener and Dylan D who still with an unfortunate pole in the jump off phase, took the final victory of the day.
Open Class
1st Emilia Gardener and Dylan D
2nd Gemma Guest and Baileys Nice with Ice
3rd Gregory and Carlo
