Speedgate’s Unaffiliated Show Jumping Results

Sunday 6th June 2021

The third of our show jumping shows was held on Sunday 6th June and the weather was glorious! With the course built in reverse to its usual way, it was interesting to see how horses and riders reacted to it.

After the clear rounds had been completed, we were ready to start the Mini class and our first combination to go double clear was Ava Dungan and her very smart pony, Park Cashew. This combination produced a lovely round and set a very good time in the jump off. Two further double clears were achieved in this class by Stacey Ward and Summer Fairman, but neither competitor could get close to Ava’s time so making her our first winner of the day.

Mini Class

1st Ava Dungan and Park Cashew

2nd Summer Fairman and Agent Cody

3rd Stacey Ward and Dali High Hope

4th Maceykate Whiskin and Dolly

Next we had the Novice class and the change of course was certainly going to ruffle some of the riders. Our second rider of the class was Summer Fairman and her rather keen, Agent Cody. This combination was certainly keen to get on with the job, and Summer really had to work to keep Agent Cody together. This combination produced a lovely round in a time that was going to be good enough for them to gain third place. As the rest of the class progressed, we saw four more double clears produced from the thirteen starters. It was towards the end of the class that Ava Dungan and Park Cashew came forward to produce one of those double clears. Once again, this duo did enough to take the lead and eventually take their second victory of the day.

Novice Class

1st Ava Dungan and Park Cashew

2nd Eve Maher and Dunally CoCos Boy

3rd Summer Fairman and Agent Cody

4th Lizzie Robinson and Hazysboy

5th Kate Lawson and Marchants Harry

With another good number of competitors entered for the Intermediate class, we got underway. All entries for our events remain being made online, and all our competitors are allocated a jumping time for each of their rounds.

Of the fourteen starters for the class, six double clears were produced, and it was about halfway through the class that it was the turn of Eve Maher and her ride Dunally CoCos Boy. Not only did they produce a very fluent double clear, but they executed it in a time that no one was going to be able to catch. This meant that they took the third victory of the day.

Intermediate Class

1st Eve Maher and Dunally CoCos Boy

2nd Paige Paskell and Ruperts Ready

3rd Ava Dungan and Park Cashew

4th Lizzie Robinson and Hazysboy

5th Stephanie De Vivo and Kinsky Diamond April

6th Vickey Bentley and Rafflestone

With a couple of last minute riders having to withdraw, both Open classes had just a few competitors coming forward. In the Small Open we had two competitors get through to the jump off and both produce double clears. It was Paige Paskell and her horse, Ruperts Ready that finished on the fastest time to take the win.

Only one double clear was gained in the final Open class of the day. This was from Gianna Du-Bell and her very smart horse Lucky to Be, so taking the final win of the day.

Congratulations once again to all our deserving winners of the day. As always it was lovely to see regular faces, as well as new ones coming to compete with us for the first time.

Thank you to everyone that came and supported. We look forward to hopefully seeing you all again soon. Our next unaffiliated show jumping show is being held on Sunday 11th July. All entries can be made online via Horse Monkey. Please enter early to avoid disappointment.
