The second of our Unaffiliated Team Dressage events of the season saw seven teams come forward to compete. Rachel Green and her lovely horse Mojo were the first combination of the day to head down the centre line in the Intro B class. Last to go in this section of the day was Katie McCarthy and her partner Texas. This combination produced a great test to achieve a brilliant score of 68.48% which was an amazing start for the ‘The Wrong Diagonals’ team. All the teams were now off to a great start!
The Prelim 15 class followed, and again all seven teams had at least one member ready to head down the centre line. Towards the end of this class was the turn of Frankie Beorby and the gorgeous Ginge. Their fluent test resulted in them gaining an incredible score of 74.00%. This score was eventually going to help her team to take victory.
With only five riders left to complete their tests, there was everything to ride for in the Novice 37A class. Ellie Jenkins and her very smart mare, Davita, got the class underway and with a great score of 70.92% was really going to put the pressure on the other teams. Once again it was Frankie Beorby and Ginge who delivered another outstanding test to gain a score of 72.59% and this was going to be enough to keep her other team ‘Whitehouse Wobblers’ in second place.
Now it was all down to the final scores being added up and the team placings being announced. The top two team scores were so very close, and it was only 1.67% separating first and second place. But with a final score of 69.60% it was team ‘White House Worriers’, who was made up of Amy Nicholls, Frankie Beorby, Anna Sandhu and Sophie Wyles, that were finally crowned our team winners.
1st White House Worriers 69.60% – Amy Nicholls, Frankie Beorby, Anna Sandhu, Sophie Wyles
2nd White House Wobblers 67.93% – Beth Greenfield, Sophia Kell, Sophie Wyles, Frankie Beorby
